About the Event
The dance of deep dissolve, is not one of a harsh cathartic release, it is one of awareness and understanding,
it is one of trusting that your true nature will help you through and that you will be supported along the way.
Te Kore is the void, the infinite potential before creation.
It is the metamorphic state where things break down, where the unknown is present.
It's a time for intentional dissolve, for change.
The season calls for it, the global communities are reaching for it and we here for this night, we dance with it.
Give yourself enough space that you can soften and rest in your rhythm of dissolve.
Without the push, the urgency and all the shoulds we dance .
The tikanaga for our embodied dance floors ~
No unnecessary talking: To maintain a meditative and immersive atmosphere, refrain from talking on the dance floor. Barefoot Dance: Dance barefoot to ground yourself and fully connect with the floor and your movements.
If needed, wear socks or soft-soled dance shoes. No Phones or Cameras: Keep electronic devices off the dance floor to ensure privacy and presence for all participants. Respect the Space and Others: Be mindful of others' space and energy.
Avoid making physical contact unless it is clearly consensual. Stay Present and Sober: To fully engage in the experience, avoid using intoxicants or mind-altering substances before or during the dance. Non-Judgmental Attitude: Embrace an open and accepting mindset.
This is a space for free expression without judgment or criticism. Follow the Flow: Allow your body to move freely and intuitively, following the natural rhythm of the music and your inner impulses. Honor the Silence: Embrace moments of stillness and silence as part of the dance, allowing yourself and others to fully experience the ebb and flow of the movement. We honour these to create a safe, respectful, and immersive environment for everyone to explore and enjoy the benefits of ecstatic dance.
In full disclosure, this is the beginning of our Wānanga, so I will be lightly guiding you through our the session.
