PUNA WAIORA | DANCE IN NATURE

Mauri ora e te iwi, Welcome...and so begins our new dance portal. 

Aligning ourselves to the maramataka//natural calendar, to follow our own cycles and the cycles of this planet.

For our first Puna Waiora Portal, we dance at Ngā Manu Nature Reserve. 

Surrounded by nature and good company. 

Puna

2. (noun) spring (of water), well, pool.

Waiora 

1. (noun) health, soundness.

I create this embodied dance floor as a sanctuary for us to fill up that wellspring and for the health of our whole being.

Arrive at 645pm to get your tech sorted.

Opening circle 7 pm

Sent off into nature to walk, dance, sit, draw, write.

Meet at a halfway mark for a dance on the grassy patch

Take your time to join us back at the whare for closing karakia.

Hauora // wellbeing is vital at this time, and Open Floor is a practice that resources with tools and skills to help navigate these tricky waters. You do not have to be a dancer, or artist, or anything other than yourself to be welcomed into these spaces. Curiosity is a great key to bring with you as we begin this journey with ourselves, supported by nature.

This is a non mandated event, due to this we are restricted to numbers 

and require social distance from the humans but not the trees.

If the event is cancelled for any reason, you will recieve a full refund.
