RĀTAPU DANCE CLUB HUIHUINGA

Thank you for hearing the call to come and help....and to dance! 

For this gathering, we will be testing our tech, testing our location, making sure it all works out. 

They say common sense isn't all that common! 

..so here are some things that may seem super obvious but here we go anyway.

We will be moving in a public location // consideration of others around us is paramount if this is to continue.

Respect to the whenua, treat this public space as if you are the kaitiaki. 

There are public toilets, let's use them. 

Outside events for Dance Club will be run through the Discology App. 

Some of you are already familiar, fab! please help anyone who you are coming with.

Best advice would be to download the app at home, find your way to my event and add it to your calendar. 

To make this event 'pleasant' or 'fucken fabulous for you...

CHARGE YOUR PHONE, HAVE GOOD ENOUGH HEADPHONES AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SOME DATA.

You may also want to,

Bring some form of ground covering, whāriki, yogamat, blanket.

Personal water bottle

Dress for the ocassion//weather, you know, a hat, sunblock, bring a jacket, maybe not the 4inch stilettos -  altho that's a choice you can make too. 

We gather at 3pm, I will play a steady beat to let you know I am live. if you need help with tech come find me.

Can I be anywhere and tune into this session - YES.

For future events, it will be limited to a 5km radius of me, so we can find each other on the maunga. 

Can I bring the whanau - YES 

We are connecting thru our headsets not our boom boxes this time please let's keep it on the down-low for this time x 

Can I connect on my tablet - NO 

This app works only on phones.

Can I dance by myself - YES, 

We are gathering in a public location, you are free to be where ever you are called to be. 

Social distancing is encouraged. 

Do I need to wear a mask - UP TO YOU

We are outside so it is up to you. Do what make you feel safe and comfortable.

Do I need a vax pass - NO

Currently, we are a non-mandated event private event.

How do I join Dance Club - The membership book will be by me, add your details, pay your membership, get the sticker - and then you have to dance!!! those are the rules ; )

And surely that is enough info to begin x 

Lets see how we roll, and if weather is really shit, I will test but not in location so we will still dance x
