Take the first step... David Whyte - the poet - lends us the place to begin self-care September. START CLOSE IN, a three week closed Art in Motion group making the art that matters to you. We will spend time in the dance, with the word, in mark-making, and musing in music.

This series of classes ends on the Spring/Autumn Equinox, at which stage we will endeavor to find the first step, making ritual with ourselves, marking this moment.

All humans welcome to join me on this journey of self kindness and creative care, from your house to mine where ever you are in the world.

What you will need: Internet connection, materials to create with - that is up to you, I suggest, paper, pens, pencils, pastels, paints, magazines and glue, quick clay...and anything in between. I will give you prompts, but how you wish to express that is up to you, if you are new to making art/creating I will give guidance, do not worry about not knowing.

A place to create, that provides some space for you. Water, blanket, cuppa tea, things that make you comfortable. A clear floor to dance and move our remarkable bodies on.

..and a curiosity to turn up, just as you are each week. Committed to the unfolding.

If this ongoing does not get enough humans to make it works I will cancel. Whatever money you have paid I will refund fully!!! I will contact you on Sunday Night on the 6th of September to let you know if this is the case. No refund if you choose to cancel, after Sunday Night 5pm. Please make full payment and if that is not possible, please talk to me as we will find a way. There is always a way.
