That was too close. For those who don’t know where I am or are wondering…
I’m in bed, in recovery.
Two weeks ago, while facilitating on Poutama Rites of Passage, my appendix ruptured, though I didn’t work that out for a few days. I thought it was a tummy bug from Rites and kept pushing through, popping painkillers and convincing myself that it would just go away.
But three days with a ruptured appendix leads to some serious trouble.
I ended up in hospital in Kirikiriroa with a massive infection that nearly turned into irreversible sepsis.
